Creative Activity Design
This programme will allow child care staff to develop skills in planning, delivery and evaluation of activities that will stimulate and develop children.
Programme Objectives
By the end of the session candidates will be able to:
- Describe a range of activities that are stimulating for the children whilst ensuring they are appropriate for their age, needs and abilities.
- Understand how to link activities to the curriculum frameworks for Birth – 3 Matters and Foundation Stage Curriculum.
- Produce a detailed plan for a range of stimulating activities that can be used within the setting.
- Demonstrate the ability to implement a chosen activity with particular regard to health and safety.
- You will be able to use simple and direct language to communicate with others
- Evaluate in detail the implementation of the activity with particular reference to the foundation Stage Curriculum and individual children.

Childcare specialist in pre school and nursery environments and others with responsibilities for child care i.e. child minders, after school clubs etc..
