Programme Aims

• Provide information regarding the latest fire regulations applicable to the workplace.
• Raise your awareness of fire, how fire develops and how to prevent fires in your workplace.
• Show how to extinguish fires using the correct extinguishing media (theory only).
• Confirm evacuation procedures as per company literature.

Programme Objectives

By the end of the session candidates will be able to:

• Explain the legal framework applicable to fire safety at work.
• Explain the theory of combustion and ways of preventing fires.
• Choose the correct extinguisher for any given fire.
• Explain and simulate escape from a smoke filled environment.
• Describe and carry out the correct evacuation procedure as per company literature.
