Programme Aims

To develop a sound knowledge and understanding of the national standards set by OFSTED and how they are implemented within the setting

Programme Objectives

By the end of the session candidates will be able to:

Describe the national standards that are relevant to the setting in which they work
Demonstrate an understanding of the basic requirements of each standard
Discuss and relate the standards to the policy and procedures of the child care setting
Identify the benefits that adherence to the National Standards will bring to both staff and service users.

Who is this programme of study for?

Managerial and all staff in a position of responsibility within a child care setting.
